About Bryan

J. Bryan Smith, MSW founded his practice under the name of Archer Total Life Management.  Bryan received a BA in Human Services with minors in both Psychology and Sociology from Villanova University located on Philadelphia's Main Line.  He first entered the workforce in the mid-1990s working on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange for Spear, Leeds, & Kellogg (NYSE market maker).  In 1997, Bryan began working for the fabled Goldman, Sachs & Company where he was employed as an Associate in the Equities Division.  It was here that Bryan developed his ability to think quickly and logically even in the most stressful situations.  Working on the New York Stock Exchange necessitated clear, concise communication coupled with an ability to react to dynamic situations.  Bryan earned his series 7, 63, and 25 licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers.  In 2002, he accepted a position as vice-president at Equitex Securities, LLC.  During his tenure at Equitex, he was responsible for maintaining relationships with many notable investment banks, trading houses, and hedge funds.  Strict adherence to complete confidentiality and discretion prevents us from disclosing their names.

In 2005, faced with the reality that the NYSE was moving toward near complete automation, Bryan decided to take a leap and reinvent himself. He entered graduate school to pursue a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in International and Community Development. His goal was to one day form an organization that would help enhance the lives of many by facilitating personal empowerment. Archer Total Life Management is the realization of that goal.
Bryan’s post-Wall Street experience has included many varied positions and trainings. He interned with the Division of Youth and Family Services (NJ’s Child Protective Services) and the Mental Health Association. The Mental Health Association offered him a permanent position in 2006 as Director of their Family Support Center. Currently, he is the Director of all Community Based Programming at the Mental Health Association. Bryan has received significant training in Anger Management, Coaching, Parenting, and Working with Diverse Populations. To date, Bryan has worked with over 500 individuals and families ranging in age from 14 years old to 90 years old. Today, he is offering his skills and experience to the public through his private coaching practice.
